HTML and CSS Tutorials for Beginners

Last updated on January 29, 2020 4 Comments

I have created this series of HTML and CSS Tutorials for Beginners with the intent of helping you with your WordPress development skills.

WordPress comes with a Visual Editor straight out of the box. As a result there is a lot that can be done with it. But, there will come a time where the Visual Editor will not the best tool for what you want to do. For that reason, getting familiar with vanilla HTML and CSS will be a great asset if you create WordPress sites.

When I first started working with WordPress I used the Visual Editor almost exclusively.  It use to be intimidating to try and use the text editor.  I was confused by all the weird code and symbols.  I had no idea what they were for.  These videos were created to help those that may be in a similar situation.  I hope you find these videos useful!

If you’re just starting out with WordPress and want to learn how to setup a Localhost, check out this video. The importance of learning to code on a local host can not be overstated. A localhost is great for testing HTML and CSS as you learn.

Wow! I came here while searching for css help and this tutorial series is awesome.

I also love how you have grouped all the videos in this series in one page. Makes it easy for us to follow one after the other. Was this done with ACF? Excellent work.
